EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Our client is a major IT/Software solutions company with an impressive array of Major Projects currently underway. Unprecedented recent growth and consulting success has now provided an excellent opportunity for a Senior, defence experienced BDM to join the ACT based team.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
- University qualifications in geospatial or equivalent
- Extensive experience in complex IT/Software sales
- Demonstrated experience working within the Defence industry and Defence technologies
- Excellent negotiation and analytical skills regarding contractual, technical and financial issues
- Strong Project planning, specification and problem solving skills
- Well developed BD and commercial relationship building skills and commitment to revenue targets
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills including the ability to deliver work according to budget and time schedules
- Take initiative in leading, cooperating and motivating other team members
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Your role will include, but will not be limited to:
- Lead the team to exceed revenue targets
- Identify market leads and develop sales opportunities in new and existing accounts within Defence and Federal Security business segments
- Providing assistance to nation-wide offices in pursuing new sales opportunities and collaborating with other Managers in creating innovative solutions in targeting new opportunities
- Responding to new potential business by marketing activities and engaging the team to refine and target further marketing activities
- Ensuring consistency in pre-sales by risk identification, management and mitigation for specific opportunities
- Involvement in report writing, pipeline opportunity forecasting, sales plans for key opportunities and Account Plans for Tier 1 clients
- Participating in sales meetings and conferences in defining and supporting strategy and evaluating future business plans, as required
