EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Our client is a major Defence Supplier with an impressive array of Major Projects currently underway. Unprecedented recent growth and consulting success has now provided an excellent opportunity for an experienced Systems Engineer (Defence Systems) to join the team in Adelaide.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
To be successful in applying for this position you will be a formally qualified professional with suitable experience in a relevant Aerospace, Communications, or Electronics related field. The project in question is responsible for the design, development and procurement of the Australianised Combat System. Duties will include but will not be limited to:
- Develop, maintain, interfaces and design related to the Electronic Warfare requirements associated with the Naval systems project;
- Applying professional systems engineering services for the analysis evaluation, design, procurement support, implementation review, integration, installation, test and support of the project;
- Follow standard processes, budgets and timetables assigned by the Project Lead.
Mandatory requirements include:
- Engineering Degree in Aerospace, Communications or Electronics
- Minimum 3-5 years experience working in command and control projects/Integrated Teaming environment within the Defence Sector
- Exposure to design, specification, integration and/or testing of systems and communications
- Extensive experience with the development and delivery of Command and Control (C2) and/or Electronic Warfare (EW) systems and products
- Experience with tools requirements using DOORS and CORE
- Knowledge in testing, developing and interface design
- Engineering experience with one or more of the following: military communication systems, radios, voice switches, air defence systems, air traffic management systems, situational awareness and data fusion systems, TADILS Link 16/Link 11, EW Systems, EO/IR Systems, SAR & GMTI Radar along with Commonwealth Defence Organisations and Forces
- Experience with architectures, systems engineering, technical risk assessment, software and system engineering methodologies
- Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to solve complex problems and resolve issues of a complex nature
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As a successful applicant, your primary responsibility is tol work within one or several product teams focused on specific design and implementation solutions which deliver productivity and capability improvements to the companies maintained and owned products.
Ideally, you will be a highly motivated professional primarily responsible for providing Systems Engineering expertise for the highly sophisticated Defence project.
Due to the nature of this role, you must be an Australian citizen and hold a Department of Defence Security Clearance.
