EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Our client is a prime contractor for the design, manufacture and delivery of naval design and engineering services to the Defence. Currently, there is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Scheduler to contract for an exciting defence project in Canberra.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

To be successful in applying for this position you will be a an experienced Project Scheduler and Planner with qualifications in a field such as Engineering, Business or related and have previously held Scheduler positions within complex engineering or naval project environment. Applicants will need to have a sound knowledge of the Defence and the Australian Defence Force. Key Requirements include:

  • Experience using high end scheduling tools such as Open Plan Professional or P3e is essential.
  • Experience in maintaining the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) in Open Plan Professional (OPP) to maintain latest schedule information.
  • Use of Contract Master Schedule (CMS) to allow an integrated schedule in the IMS.
  • Run and maintain checks to ensure vertical integration between the IMS and the CMS
  • Proficiency using MS Projects, Access and Excel is essential

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain Project Master Schedules in Microsoft Project 2003
  • Multiple project status reporting
  • Develop and maintain Work Breakdown Structure and Project Breakdown Structure
  • Provide training on Project Schedule maintenance

The successful applicant will liaise with Project management, Planning team and Senior Management to create and maintain valid and accurate Project schedules, monitor project progress and provision of planning and cost analysis support for project performance monitoring and control. As part of the role, you will be engaged with developing and maintaining the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for the Project and provide accurate and timely reporting of schedule information to the management team.
