EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Our client, a reputable Defence supplier now requires the services of an experienced ILS/ Technical Writer with to join a growing team in Adelaide. This is an excellent opportunity for a formal Naval Technical Officer to assist with the maintenance ILS and instruction writing experience of Naval Platform Systems.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
To be successful in applying for this position you will be familiar with key Australian Defence standards covering the maintenance of systems fitted primarily to one or more of the following platforms;
* Adelaide Class FFG * ANZAC Class FFH * Minor War Vessels (Minehunters, LCH's etc.)
You will have demonstrated experience in the relevant engineering/maintenance environment. Successful candidates will have additional experience in defect analysis, analysis of technical documentation, material requirement verification and the interpretation of technical drawings, work instructions writing and specifications. Such experience is likely to have been gained whilst working directly with contemporary Land, Sea or Air Systems. You must be a Trade qualified Technician at minimum to be eligible for this position. Knowledge of Naval Fleet Maintenance Systems including FFG Class Maintenance Plans and 3M Planned Maintenance System would be of advantage.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Your primary duties will be to provide input to technical decisions and recommendations to the FFG SPO and SRCO Organisation and when requested, to the Depot Level Maintenance contractor. High level of technical support for the FFG design tasks and advice to Senior Management and other employees of within the company. Some preparation of budgets (quotations), schedules & capital submissions will be required as well as the provisions of technical assistance to configuration management and Information Management Coordinator.
Due to the nature of this role, you must hold a current Department of Defence Security Clearance.
