EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Our client is a successful Engineering Consultancy with an impressive portfolio of Defence and Corporate Clients. Unprecedented recent growth and consulting success has now provided an excellent opportunity for an Engineer to step into the position of Naval Architect. MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS To be successful in applying for this position you will be a Tertiary Qualified Engineer with qualifications in a field such as Naval Architecture, Mechanical or Structural Engineering. You will be seeking the opportunity to gain experience in face to face (B2B) client consulting and the management of your own projects within both Defence and the Commercial Sector. Importantly, this position will grant you the opportunity to diversify your portfolio of skills and projects. You should be familiar with the following Engineering principles: Hydrodynamic / Hydrostatic Engineering Finite Element Analysis (FEA) within either the Defence, Mining or Offshore Oil and Gas Industries - ideally using STRAND as the software tool Risk measurement and management techniques within a project framework The role and function of Statistical Analysis, Probability, Modelling and 'Number Crunching' within a project framework ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Working closely with the existing Project Engineering team, you will initially be engaged within current projects spanning technologies and disciplines as diverse as Safety Engineering, 3rd Party Checking on Major Defence Tenders and Risk Engineering in the fields of Fire and Explosion Studies. Within a short period it is anticipated that you will be at the stage whereby you can command your own projects and commence interfacing with established clients on a consulting basis. Due to the nature of this role, you must be an Australian Citizen and eligible to receive a Department of Defence Security Clearance.
