EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
A leading defence supplier now requires the services of an experienced Project Manager to join their office in Adelaide.
The main responsibility of the Project Manager is to lead a small teams of professionals in the on-time, on-
budget and compliant delivery of projects.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
- Defence related experience in project and program management
- Extensive Project planning, scheduling and budgeting experience
- Formal qualifications in Project Management methodologies
- Good working knowledge of engineering practice, process and
procedures
- Proven working experience with DSTO and DMO stakeholders;
- Excellent Leadership/Management skills within multi-discipline project
teams - Outstanding communication and influencing skills and ability to make
appropriate judgments
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Successful candidates will be required to bring their Project Management expertise in the complete systems development life cycle: inception, resource estimation, design, process design, development, testing, implementation and rollout to ensure the projects are delivered on time, within budget costs and to the satisfaction of the customer’s expectations proven by sign-off.
- Managing the projects within the framework of company’s policies, procedures, standards, methodologies and controls applicable to the work;
- Liaise with the Sales and Bid management team in the preparation of proposals and directly with customer representatives in determining the schedule and project delivery requirements; and
- Facilitate process improvement through dissemination of information, process measurement and automation efficiency.
